The Maconaquah Braves won the last time they faced the Eastern Comets, and things went their way on Saturday too. Maconaquah took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 58-22 win over Eastern. The win made it back-to-back wins for Maconaquah.
Leading Maconaquah to victory were Miranda Stoll and Bailey Carson. Stoll scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals, while Carson scored 17 points along with 4 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Stoll has scored at least 25% of Maconaquah's points. Another player making a difference was Ireland Kile, who scored 6 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Eastern struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Maconaquah racked up 16.
Maconaquah's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Eastern, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maconaquah will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Oak Hill's defense has only allowed 26.4 points per game this season, so Maconaquah's offense will have their work cut out for Maconaquah. As for Eastern, they will head out on the road to face off against Alexandria-Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexandria-Monroe will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
