Baseball Recap: Grove Takes a Loss

Grove came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wagoner Bulldogs, falling 9-3. The Ridgerunners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2017.

Grove saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Keller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Keller a new career-high. Another was Aidan Davis, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Grove now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wagoner, their record is now 2-3.

While Grove had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
