The Wenonah Dragons waltzed into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 58-48 victory over Melrose.
Wenonah got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jakerria Ringstaff out in front who scored 18 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Ringstaff has scored at least 25% of Wenonah's points. Gabrielle Blanks was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Wenonah's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Melrose, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Wenonah is on the road again on Friday and play against White Station at 3:00 p.m. on November 24th. As for Melrose, they will be playing at home against Memphis East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
