Football Game Preview: First Presbyterian Day Vikings vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

First Presbyterian Day has gone a perfect 4-0 against Strong Rock Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. First Presbyterian Day will be strutting in after a win while Strong Rock Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, First Presbyterian Day made easy work of Tattnall Square Academy and carried off a 31-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

First Presbyterian Day's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Breck Griffin, who picked up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Griffin's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. Marlon Kramer got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

First Presbyterian Day didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Kramer picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. First Presbyterian Day got some further help from Harrison Keenan: he picked up a sack and made 14 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 points the game before, Strong Rock Christian was a bit more limited in their contest last Friday. They took a 23-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brookstone. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

First Presbyterian Day has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points on average over those games. As for Strong Rock Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

First Presbyterian Day strolled past Strong Rock Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 28-13. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
