North Monterey County was without their leading scorer, Isabela Valadez, in Thursday's match. With Valadez sidelined, North Monterey County had to make some big changes to the lineup. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Amaya Eubanks (60), Mitchell Machuca (80), and Andrea Ibarra (80). The trio had averaged 26.25, 48, and 29.58 minutes respectively before Thursday's matchup. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Eubanks scored a goal, while she scored a goal.
York's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Monterey County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1.
York does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Monterey County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
