The Clinton Central Bulldogs will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Adams Central Flying Jets at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clinton Central has eight straight victories, Adams Central has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Wednesday, Clinton Central strolled past Rochester with points to spare, taking the game 47-31.
Clinton Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sara Parkison led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The match was Parkison's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Erika Robbins, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Adams Central suffered a tough 58-37 loss at the hands of South Adams on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that Adams Central has lost by exactly 21 points.
Clinton Central's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Adams Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
