The postseason has brought with it a whole lot of change in the power rankings. A special shoutout goes to DePaul Catholic's junior Taquan Roberson, who scored six total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
Lenape got a 63 - 28 win over Howell last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Jo Kellum. Kellum earned five touchdowns and 280 yards rushing the ball. In fact, our algorithms singled out Kellum as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
On paper, the match between St. Joseph Regional (2nd in the power rankings) and Pope John XXIII (7th) looked as though it might be one of the more compelling ones, but things did not play out that way on the field. St. Joseph Regional blew past Pope John XXIII 28 - 7. St. Joseph Regional especially relied on senior Jaden Budka, who ran for 48 yards and also punched in one touchdown, and junior Gavin Sharkey, who caught passes for one touchdown on three receptions.
No Stoppin 'Em
Lenape and Howell went up, up, and away last week as they combined for the highest point total (91) among all power ranked teams. Lenape picked up a decisive 'W' against Howell, finishing up at 63 - 28. The win boosted Lenape a satisfying eight spots in the power rankings.
