Golden West hasn't had much luck against Monache recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trailblazers will head out to square off against the Marauders at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Monache will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Golden West extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Trailblazers blew past Orcutt Academy 12-2.

Erin Fawkes made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Golden West let Reann Boyd and Hayden Oliveira run wild. Boyd got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Oliveira went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Boyd has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rilynn Daleman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Golden West hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive matchups.
Monache never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mt. Whitney last Thursday. They never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won five in a row.
Amiee Rivas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Faith Conklin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Golden West's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Monache, their record now sits at 9-4-1.
Both Golden West and Monache just can't seem to miss. The Trailblazers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Monache struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Golden West couldn't quite get it done against Monache in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Trailblazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
