Leading Southeast Raleigh to victory were A'Ziyah Trent and Dariyah Harris. Trent posted 23 points, while Harris scored 18 points. Trent continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madalyn Pass, who earned seven points.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Najiha Allen, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Allen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season. Paris Autry was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 17 points.
Southeast Raleigh's record now sits at 5-0. As for Overhills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
Coming up, Southeast Raleigh is taking a road trip to challenge Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Overhills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rolesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
