The Katy Tigers will square off against the Summer Creek Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Katy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-7 victory over Memorial. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Tremayne Hill was his usual excellent self, rushing for 169 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Manuel, who rushed for 68 yards and a pair of scores.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Katy proved: they limited Memorial to a paltry 2.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Reid Garrelts for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in September.
Katy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut David Oluto-Judah.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Summer Creek against Manvel on Friday as the team secured a 72-35 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-7.
A big part of Summer Creek's victory came down to the chemistry between Noah Spinks and his top target Benny Easter Jr.. Spinks threw for 457 yards and eight TDs while picking up 19.9 yards per attempt while Easter Jr. picked up 252 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Thanks to that big game, Spinks is now up to 38 passing touchdowns on the season. Another player making a difference was Jamicah Jones, who picked up 104 receiving yards and one score.
Summer Creek's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Katy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Everything came up roses for Katy against Summer Creek in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, as the squad secured a 35-7 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
