The Westwood Panthers and the Tradition Prep Pirates will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Westwood had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Oxbridge Academy by a score of 53-44 on Thursday. The win was just what Westwood needed coming off of a 73-44 defeat in their prior game.
Westwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Mills, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Marvenshy Duroseau, who scored 11 points.
Tradition Prep can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-29 win over Sebastian River. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Tradition Prep has scored all season.
Westwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Tradition Prep, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Tradition Prep's Aydan Fields, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
