Softball Recap: Lincoln Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Lincoln put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Bear River. The Zebras came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bruins, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Zebras have posted since February 26th.

Lincoln saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Ornelas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Lincoln, bringing their record up to 8-9-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bear River, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Lincoln and Bear River will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Zebras see the field they'll take on Mira Loma at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Bear River, their break will end when they face Oakmont at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
