After losing to the Englewood Pirates the last time they met, the Littleton Lions decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Littleton walked away with a 51-39 win over Englewood on Monday.
It was another big night for Treyton Fletcher, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Littleton's points. Another player making a difference was Omani Johnson, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Jonah Singer and Dominic Dever certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Singer scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Dever scored 12 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Singer posted two or more blocks.
Littleton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season. As for Englewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Littleton will head out on the road to face off against Pomona at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pomona has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Englewood, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Arvada at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Englewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
