The Fountain Inn Fury waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 62-50 victory over Southside. That's another feather in the cap for Fountain Inn, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jaden Johnson and Angerrelle Gomes-Ramsey certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Johnson scored 24 points, while Gomes-Ramsey dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Gomes-Ramsey is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quintevius Gambrell, who scored five points along with two steals.
Fountain Inn has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Southside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.
Fountain Inn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southside, they will be playing at home against Wren at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Wren's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 games.
