The Gilead Christian Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Zanesville Christian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-46. That's another feather in the cap for Gilead Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gilead Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diesel Myers, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Myers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Denim Myers, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Gilead Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Zanesville Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Gilead Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-20 victory vs. Senedot Stripes on the 10th. Zanesville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
