Baseball Recap: West Michigan Christian Wins Going Away Against Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy

While West Michigan Christian put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy. The Patriots put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 14-0 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Andrew Stafford was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Lang, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

West Michigan Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

West Michigan Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.
