The Newfane Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Albion, posting a 88-34 win on the road. Considering Newfane has won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ben Dickinson was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Brayden Seitz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
The win (which was Newfane's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Albion, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
After both having extra time off, Newfane and Barker will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Barker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while Newfane is ranked 114th). Albion will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Medina at 6:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
