Despite the defeat, Fox Creek saw an underclassman step up: Kobe Sims scored 8 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Connor Cannon was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
Airport's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Casey Duncan, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daniel Jeffries, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Fox Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Airport, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Fox Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Mid-Carolina at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mid-Carolina focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday. As for Airport, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
