Corbyn Jakub Goes Supernova in Rock Port Victory
Rock Port picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Corbyn Jakub. Nobody could stop Jakub as he rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Mound City, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Jakub. When Jakub last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns.

Holmes Came Up Big in Rock Port's 46-16 Win
Rock Port picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Brock Holmes. Mound City had no answer to Holmes as he rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 50 yards.
For the year, Holmes has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 26 receiving yards per game.

Gavyn Irvine Turns in Season-Best Performance
Gavyn Irvine produced his most outstanding game to date while leading East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] to the win on Friday. Irvine rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
On the season, Irvine has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 15.9 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to two.

He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended a pass.
