Desert Sunrise extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Trae Walker. The Golden Hawks simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Agua Fria Owls 42-15 thanks in part to Walker, who rushed for 80 yards and three scores on only ten carries, and also threw for 210 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
One reason for the win was Desert Sunrise's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Niamiah Scruggs was especially locked on to Agua Fria's QB and sacked him twice. Pharell Hollister was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making four total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Desert Sunrise's record is now 8-2. As for Agua Fria, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
