If Edison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Somerset, they should've done a better job of containing Evelyn Hernandez. The Bulldogs walked away with a 52-40 victory over the Golden Bears on Friday thanks in part to Hernandez, who shot 48% from the field on her way to 27 points and five steals. She has become a key player for Somerset: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 2-5 otherwise.

Aivlyse Rangel was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 50% field goal percentage.

Somerset's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Edison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coming up, Somerset and Devine will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Edison, they will have a chance to keep the ball rolling against Lytle at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday following yesterday's win.
