Maritza Enriquez led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Tatyanna Craft was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Mesa Ridge made easy work of Palmer on Tuesday and carried off a 17-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Terrors: they've now won nine in a row.
Kaitlyn Fielder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Bolander was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elexiyah Montoya, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Mesa Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Sierra's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Mesa Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-1.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sierra has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Mesa Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .502. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
