Linsly has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Steubenville Big Red at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Linsly is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Steubenville in their respective states (Linsly is ranked 19th in West Virginia, while Steubenville is ranked 101st in Ohio).
Linsly suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Wednesday. They were the victim of a tough 62-39 defeat at the hands of Martins Ferry.
Steubenville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of University by a score of 55-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Steubenville has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Steubenville saw an underclassman step up: Nylah Mcshan dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 45.3% of Steubenville's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Bailee Beall was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Linsly's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Steubenville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
