Basketball Recap: Centennial Piles Up the Points Against Valley

On Friday, the Centennial Patriots were fully in charge, breezing past the Valley Vikings 81-51.

It was another big night for Gabe Eddins, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds. His morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Tobin Knudson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Centennial was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in three consecutive contests.

Centennial now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-44 win against Chaparral on the 21st. As for Valley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sunrise Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
