The Sweetwater Wildcats's game on January 9th was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 64-51 victory over Polk County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sweetwater also won the last time the pair played on January 5th.
Chris Alford was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 11 rebounds. Alford is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Hunter Daffron, who scored eight points.
Sweetwater has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Polk County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Sweetwater won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Loudon at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. Loudon is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Polk County, they will head out on the road to challenge Meigs County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
