The University Interscholastic League released high school football playoffs on Sunday.

The six-week race to the title begins Nov. 13-15 and runs through the state finals which take place Dec. 17-20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Defending champions include Vandegrift (Austin) (6A D2), North Crowley (Fort Worth) (6A D1), Randle (Richmond) (5A D2), Smithson Valley (Spring Branch) (5A D1), Carthage (4A D2), Celina (4A D1), Gunter (3A D2), Columbus (Columbus, Texas) (3A D1), Muenster (2A D2), Ganado (2A D1), Jayton (6-man D2), Gordon (6-man D1).
