Fort Dodge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Ames Little Cyclones with a sharp 11-5 victory. The Dodgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Fort Dodge's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Ames, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Fort Dodge will be playing in front of their home fans against Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dodgers 2.5, the Riders 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Ames, they are taking a road trip to take on Waukee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
