The Ocosta Wildcats lost against the Forks Spartans on January 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ocosta had to suffer through a rough 59-31 loss at the hands of Forks. Ocosta has struggled against Forks recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Ocosta had strong showings from Anna Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Alexia Bradley, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds. Davis is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Ocosta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Forks, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Ocosta will be playing in front of their home fans against Willapa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Willapa Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Thursday. As for Forks, they will head out on the road to take on Chief Leschi at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chief Leschi will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Forks is ranked 57th).
