Leighton Munk was a one-man wrecking crew for Pawnee Heights as he almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Munk has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Hammeke, who scored ten points along with six assists and four steals.
Pawnee Heights' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Ashland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Pawnee Heights will face off against the Rebels at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. South Gray presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in Kansas (the Rebels are ranked 25th, while the Tigers are ranked 323rd). As for Ashland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Cougars. Otis-Bison has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11.
