North Central is 1-9 against Clay City since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Eels at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in North Central's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
North Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Owen Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Thunderbirds were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Patriots on Thursday. 12 seems to be a good number for the Thunderbirds as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Hayden Schultz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Schultz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Bryson Marlow and Greydyn Walters did most of the damage at the plate: Marlow went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Walters went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI Walters has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Adam Farmer, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
