The Ashford Yellowjackets have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Carroll Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th. Ashford will be strutting in after a win while Carroll will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ashford beat Poplar Springs 47-42.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Carroll's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Their rough 62-37 defeat to Enterprise might stick with them for a while.
Despite the loss, Carroll saw an underclassman step up: N'jia Gosha scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Pruitt, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Ashford has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 4-3 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
