Everett is 0-5 against Glacier Peak since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Seagulls will face off against the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. Everett has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Mount Vernon hit Everett with a 12-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Seagulls came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Seagulls couldn't push the score so high this time.
Conor Veals was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Brunni, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glacier Peak). They blew past Meadowdale 13-1 on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Grizzlies have beaten the Mavericks on their field since April 5, 2016.
JW Grose looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Glacier Peak got a massive performance out of Lucas Keller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Keller a new career-high. Will Dacy also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Glacier Peak was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meadowdale only posted a batting average of .222.
Glacier Peak has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Everett, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Everett might still be hurting after the 10-4 defeat they got from Glacier Peak when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Seagulls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
