The Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans will head out to square off against the Pickens Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Friday, Greater Atlanta Christian got the win against White County by a conclusive 40-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Warriors are ranked 322nd).

Greater Atlanta Christian also got help from Aiden Bilbo, who showed off his sure hands for 112 receiving yards.
Greater Atlanta Christian's run defense was locked in: White County could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. While two picked up at least ten total tackles, Jackson Veney stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss). Greater Atlanta Christian didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.6.
Greater Atlanta Christian's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Veney: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pickens). They blew past Johnson, posting a 49-3 win. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Pickens' win came from a few key players Greater Atlanta Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ike Wyngaard, who rushed for 78 yards and one score on only eight carries. Another player making a difference was Cal Morrison, who rushed for 28 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Greater Atlanta Christian's record is now 6-2. As for Pickens, their record now sits at 7-1.
Greater Atlanta Christian couldn't quite finish off Pickens in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 28-25. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
