Meanwhile, Case faced Bourne in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Canalmen 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted against the Canalmen since September 15, 2021.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Case got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 18-25, 25-16, 18-25, 15-3.
Old Rochester Regional's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Case, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
