Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Quali Giran and Joseph Wicker Lead Millikan to Victory

Millikan saw some tournament action on Monday. They snuck past the Beverly Hills Normans with a 59-55 victory.

Millikan was led to victory by Joseph Wicker and Quali Giran. Wicker dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Giran shot 43% from the field to rack up 22 points. Giran's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Hunt, who posted ten points along with five boards and three steals.

Millikan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Millikan's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Beverly Hills, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Millikan will square off against Notre Dame (SO) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beverly Hills, they will take on Inglewood at 6:30 p.m. on the 9th. The game will give the Normans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
