Meanwhile, Oak Mountain pushed their score all the way to 67 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Thompson at home by a decisive 83-67 margin. It was the first time this season that Oak Mountain let down their fans at home.
Hueytown's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Oak Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
