Having just played yesterday, the Hueytown Golden Gophers will get right back to it and host the Oak Mountain Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. Hueytown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 336 points over their last five matches.
Hueytown pushed their score all the way to 63 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The match between Hueytown and Gardendale wasn't particularly close, with Hueytown falling 82-63.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Braylon Patton, who scored 21 points. He scored a full 33.3% of Hueytown's points, the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trip Harris, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Oak Mountain pushed their score all the way to 67 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Thompson at home by a decisive 83-67 margin. It was the first time this season that Oak Mountain let down their fans at home.
Hueytown's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Oak Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
