Basketball Game Preview: Ron Brown Monarchs vs. Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles

The Ron Brown Monarchs will head out to challenge the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ron Brown will be strutting in after a victory while Model Secondary School for the Deaf will be coming in after a loss.

Ron Brown is headed out to face Model Secondary School for the Deaf after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Monarchs took down Capital City Public Charter School 80-65 on Monday.

Ron Brown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Darrin Rado out in front who went 7-for-12 on his way to 17 points and three steals. What's more, Rado posted four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Derrick Harley was another key player, shooting 54% from the field to rack up 16 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Model Secondary School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through an 82-24 loss at the hands of Banneker.

Ron Brown beat Model Secondary School for the Deaf 52-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
