Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ottawa-Glandorf to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addyson Bellman, who had ten aces and three digs. Bellman is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 51 games she's played dating back to last season. Greta Liebrecht also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Meanwhile, Bluffton waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Ottawa-Glandorf better keep an eye on Adelyn Althaus. She was instrumental in Bluffton's win, getting nine aces and six digs. Those nine aces gave Althaus a new career-high.
Bluffton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups.
Ottawa-Glandorf's record is now 18-5. As for Bluffton, their record now sits at 16-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Ottawa-Glandorf has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Bluffton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Ottawa-Glandorf skirted past Bluffton 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
