The Bonneville Bees will challenge the Shelley Russets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonneville has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Monday, Bonneville came up short against Pocatello and fell 11-8. The Bees have struggled against the Thunder recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Gracie Longhurst put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Alli Sutherland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Paisley Bowler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Shelley also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Idaho Falls by a score of 13-9.
Sarah Kidman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Carlie Hurd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Shelley dropped their record down to 12-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those home losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Bonneville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bonneville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Shelley struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bonneville couldn't quite get it done against Shelley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Will the Bees have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
