The Highlanders strolled past the Taft Toreadors with points to spare, taking the game 46-30 with plenty of help from Rosales, who rushed for 230 yards and one score while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 104 rushing yards.
Granada Hills Charter's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Giovani Sertyan was especially locked on to Taft's QB and sacked him twice. Myles Cross got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Taft lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Wesley Parvizi, who picked up 123 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Erik Koron was another key player, picking up 105 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
The victory got Granada Hills Charter back to even at 3-3. As for Taft, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
