The Flagler Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Fleming Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flagler is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Even though Flagler has not done well against Genoa-Hugo/Karval recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Flagler walked away with a 39-32 win over Genoa-Hugo/Karval.
Flagler's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylie Stone, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Stone's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sydnie Berry, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Fleming was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 43-39 to Caliche.
Flagler's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Fleming, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Flagler suffered a grim 49-27 defeat to Fleming in their previous matchup back in January. Thankfully for Flagler, Kally Kirkwood (who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
