The Will Carleton Academy Cougars came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Factoryville Christian 63-9 on the road. That 54 point margin sets a new team best for Will Carleton Academy this season.
It was another big night for Thomas Maier, who scored 24 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was William Thielen, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Will Carleton Academy pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Factoryville Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Coincidentally, Will Carleton Academy and the will both be playing the Griffons the next time they take the court. Will Carleton Academy will head out to face the Griffons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
