The Eldorado Sundevils's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Amplus Academy with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The win was just what Eldorado needed coming off of a 72-18 loss in their prior contest.
Sara Torrico Lopez was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elisa Flores, who scored six points.
Amplus Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Naia Youngblood, who scored two points along with ten rebounds and eight steals.
Eldorado's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Amplus Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road.
Eldorado will face off against Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Friday. As for Amplus Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonanza at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Bonanza is ranked 87th, while Amplus Academy is ranked 110th).
