The Erie Tigers posted their biggest win yet this season on Saturday. They blew past Poudre, posting a 62-35 win on the road. This was payback for Erie, who suffered a 62-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Erie got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Haan out in front who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marco Martinez, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Poudre's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Foster, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Taylor Cornell-nosaka, who scored ten points.
The win got Erie back to even at 6-6. As for Poudre, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erie will square off against Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poudre, they will head out on the road to face off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brighton has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
