Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Capitan). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Madera Coyotes 52-6. The win was nothing new for the Gauchos as they're now sitting on three straight.
El Capitan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avnoor Bains, who picked up 132 receiving yards and four TDs. That's the most receiving touchdowns Bains has posted since back in October of 2024. Aaliyah Simonian was another key player, rushing for 63 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.
El Capitan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Molly Skinner, Madysen Dietz, Giovanna Yang, and Alexia Ruiz picked up one apiece.
El Capitan's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Madera, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
