Basketball Recap: Butler Piles Up the Points Against Garinger

Butler was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Garinger on Tuesday. The Butler Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Garinger Wildcats 66-17. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Caleb Milligan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 8 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Badio, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points.

Butler was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garinger only posted two assists.

Garinger lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aaron Lawler, who posted seven points and five steals. That was a full 41.2% of Garinger's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

With the victory, Butler broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for Garinger, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Butler will welcome Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Butler is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season. As for Garinger, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-51 loss against Sugar Creek Charter on the 18th.
