The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-42 win over Dawson School. The win was some much needed relief for Eagle Ridge Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Eagle Ridge Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Garcia out in front who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that Garcia pulled down eight or more rebounds. Aiden Wanrow was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Dawson School's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jackson Parker, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, and Peter Ernst who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Parker scored a full 35.7% of Dawson School's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Eagle Ridge Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Dawson School, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Eagle Ridge Academy will head out on the road to face off against Vista PEAK Prep at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Vista PEAK Prep is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 74.4 points per game. As for Dawson School, they will be playing at home against Union Colony Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Union Colony Prep is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
