The Indian Creek Braves will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Scottsburg Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Indian Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Madison 46-7. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Cubs are ranked 257th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Drew Pingleton produced another solid effort rushing for 181 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hunter Worley, who picked up 120 receiving yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Indian Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Indian Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Greyson Greene and Nate Nash. Nash got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Scottsburg owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 27-0 victory over North Harrison. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Scottsburg had a senior duo take command as Landon Shuck rushed for 200 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry and Nathan Byrd threw for 158 yards and three TDs.
One reason for the win was Scottsburg's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Jacob June with two.
Indian Creek's record now sits at 7-3. As for Scottsburg, their record is now 9-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Indian Creek has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 171.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Scottsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 148.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
