Volleyball Recap: Luis Valdez Leadership Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy entered their tilt with Summit Tahoma on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-21.

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrea Mata Alejo, who had five aces. That's the most aces Mata Alejo has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Valerie Flores, who had five aces.

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy's record is now 10-5. As for Summit Tahoma, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
