When it comes to explaining why Freeport lost, one person who can't be blamed is Reid Pierson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Andrew seward Seward, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Freeport's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Fenton, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
